Assisters will be on hand to help you learn how to apply for Planning for Healthy Babies (P4HB) health insurance (on the Internet at www.P4HB.org). . It covers women’s health-related expenses, such as birth control, annual PAP tests, and exams. We will also be available to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act insurance. All assisters are licensed Georgia Navigators and Certified Application Counselors in the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Planning for Healthy Babies covers women ages 18-44 who are not pregnant but can still have a baby. They must have household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. P4HB pays for annual check-ups, including pap smears, birth control services and supplies, pregnancy tests, counseling and referrals, and testing and treatment for STDs (except HIV/AIDS). Other services are available to women who have had a very low birth weight baby (less than 3 pounds, 5 ounces) if the baby was delivered after January 1, 2011.
